Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

This policy explains when a UpHire membership can be cancelled, when a refund is available, and how long refunds take to reach you.

1. Membership purchases

UpHire memberships are prepaid digital services that unlock the job market, candidate workspace and advisory support. Prices are shown on the Pricing page in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time from your account or by contacting us. On cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period unless a refund is issued, after which access to gated features ends immediately.

3. Refund eligibility

  • Full refund if you request cancellation within 7 days of payment and have not submitted any job application or used advisory or document-review services.
  • Full refund if a duplicate or accidental double charge is made for the same plan.
  • Full refund if a technical failure on our side prevents activation of your membership and we are unable to resolve it.
  • Partial refund, assessed case by case, where UpHire is unable to deliver a core promised service for an extended period.

4. Non-refundable situations

  • Requests made more than 7 days after payment.
  • Accounts that have already applied to vacancies, received advisory sessions, document reviews or resume services.
  • Rejection of a visa, work permit or job application by an employer or authority, as these decisions are outside our control.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for fraudulent documents, misrepresentation or breach of our Terms and Conditions.
  • Change of mind after relocation or documentation support has commenced.

5. How to request a refund

Send a refund request through the Contact page with your registered email address, invoice or reference number, and the reason for the request. We acknowledge requests within 2 working days and communicate a decision within 7 working days.

6. Processing timelines

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment gateway. Funds typically appear within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We do not issue refunds in cash or to a different account.

7. Failed and pending payments

If a payment fails but an amount is debited, it is usually reversed automatically by your bank within 5 to 7 working days. If it is not, contact us with the transaction reference and we will trace it with the payment gateway.

8. No placement fees

UpHire charges candidates only for platform membership. We never charge a fee in exchange for a job offer, visa or work permit. If anyone asks you to pay such a fee in our name, report it to us immediately.

UpHire is a private recruitment and career advisory platform. It is not a government authority and does not issue visas, work permits or immigration decisions. Immigration information published on this platform is advisory and should be verified against official government sources before you act on it.
